Missing Poncho Liner

I had only been with A 1/501 for about a month when we were given the duty of guarding a bridge for a few days between Hue and CoCo Beach. One hot afternoon a Vietnamese went by on a Honda and stopped to talk to us. The Sgt. visited with him for about 15 minutes before he left on the Honda headed toward Hue. I asked the Sgt. what they talked about and he said the guy was going to Hue and bring back a girl for the squad. About an hour went by and sure enough the Vietnamese returned with a girl on the back of the Honda. One by one the guys in the squad went into the empty bunker across the road with the girl. After 4 or 5 of them had finished, the Sgt. came to me the "Cherry" and said it was my turn. I said, "I think I will pass this time." The Vietnamese and girl left and went back to Hue. Later that night, I was the first one on top of the bunker pulling guard. When my guard was over, I went down below and woke my relief up. When the relief came up on top, I went down in the dark and looked through my rucksack for my Pancho Liner. I couldn’t find it and kept feeling on my rucksack to make sure I had the right one since it was dark. After, I confirmed the rucksack was mine and I still couldn’t find the Pancho Liner, I went back on top of the bunker and asked the guy on guard if he knew where my Panco Liner was. He said, " Yes, it is across the road in the other bunker." I said, " How did it get over there." He said, " Do you remember the girl who had come out that day?" I said, "Yes, but what has that got to do with my Poncho Liner being in the other bunker?" He said, " Well we all took turns screwing the girl on your Poncho Liner and when we finished she used your Poncho Liner to wipe her self with it." I didn’t say a word and just went below and slept on the ground for about 3 days when supply sent me out a new Poncho Liner.
