"Doc" Persike, KIA : 1969 Michigan I saw Persikes' name on a monument to fallen namvets in a park in St. Joe Michigan. We were drafted the same day and went through basic in close proximity. After that, I never saw him again. Until I saw his name the monument, I could pretend he got sent to Germany while I took the Asian route. RIP bro. |
