I can edit text files (that`s all html is) right now, online, realtime, and they change right away. That`s because I have ROOT (webmaster) permissions, and I use a simple text editor similar to Notepad that works while I`m on line.

For you, or ddave, it is also easy, but with and added step...you gotta get a copy of the Source Code...(another scarey word for the same simple text file) off the web. Piece `o poundcake!

    Here`s the process:

Go to whatever page and hit VIEW at the top of your web browser. (Dave you either have MSIE or Netscape...that`s your browser)

Anyway, hit VIEW, and select SOURCE.

On the new (NOTEPAD) window that opens up, click FILE and SAVE AS.

Save it to your desktop, or someplace where always find it easily. (be sure to remember where you put it)

You could save it as whatever.html, or you can save it as whatever.txt.

If you save it as a .txt file, probably Notepad or Wordpad will open it for you when you want it opened for editing.

If you save it as an .html file, your Browser will open it, and it will just look pretty much like the web page.

It`s best (for our purposes) to save it as a text file: whatever.txt

Then the easy part. Scroll down till you see something that needs correcting:

    Thmosa Smith correct it!
    Thomas Smith

After you fix it, email the whole (but corrected) page to me as an attachment to an email.

    whatever.txt or whatever.html

I`ll just replace the outdated one with the updated one.

Lastly I`ll say the I wouldn`t worry too much about editing or updating the plain list of names that appears on the (1st) page (medics.) The Database.... is muchmore important. In fact, if spare time is available, all names on the plain `ol list should/could be added to the Medics Database/Registry,,,, at whuch time I would delete the plain `ol list. Meanwhile it`s a good visual I`d hafta say. So, no hurry.
