Thanks for the good info Mark. I do have both those issues and I am lucky that I also have a VA letter from the early 70s that states I have a service connected hearing loss at a <10% disability level. I`ve heard mixed reviews on the effectiveness of hearing aids but if I need one I`ll be happy to let Uncle pay for it. I`ve had those tests too and it`s always the same: I tell them I have a high freq loss and won`t hear the high tones. Then they open the door 5 minutes into the test to tell me that I have to push the button when I hear the tone. Then I tell them I understand the *$%@*)^ concept and will push the (&%#%*@ button when I hear the @!^%*)$ tone. Course as we agreed at last year`s C Co Reunion, the real problem is the our spouses intentionally mumble and speak softly, just to drive us crazy.
