Since we`re telling Hardman stories...I originally had the end of June Hawaii R&R allocation but along came Dale. He had me on seniority and he was planning to marry his true love on the beach at Waikiki--what could I say? So I managed to get the word to Bev in time and we rescheduled for late July. Back comes Dale, tells me he didn`t have time to get married in June but had just re-upped, got another R&R and was now going back to Hawaii in July to finish the job. I went ballistic, told DMB it was my slot, if Hardman tried to take it I`d kill him. DMB for once agreed with me and Dale had to wait. Asked him at the DC reunion if he ever married the girl and he had to think a bit, laughed and said no but they sure had fun in Hawaii.
