    Hello Troops. We finally have information on the Charlie Company Reunion.
    We have chosen the South Point Hotel & Casino for a number of reasons. We will give you an idea of what is there and for much more info, go to their website at southpointcasino.com.
    We have chosen Sept 29th thru Oct 3 as the best dates for room rates, flights in and out and for the activities that we have planned. Not to mention the weather is great. The room rates for these dates are $50 per night and for the Sat & Sun before and after it will be $85. Now this doesn’t include the resort fee and taxes of about $20 per night, these are the Deluxe rooms. We will have one of the suites for our hospitality room as the cost of meeting space is prohibitive and we can only have for 8 hours a day, they won’t donate any space to us. They also don’t allow any more than 4 people to a room.
    The South Point is a 4 Star hotel, has about 10 restaurants and many bars & lounges. It also has a free airport shuttle for those who don’t rent a car and for those who do rent a car there is free parking. It is off the Strip so it is much easier to get in and out of. NOTE: You will need to make your reservations before Aug 30, after that our room rates expire and revert to the higher price. In the event you book and can’t come, they will charge you one night, if you cancel within 72 hours of the reservation.

    Our person cost on this reunion is going to be higher than in the past for several reasons. The hospitality room is going to have to be supplied by the hotel and we know it will be a higher price than if we were able to bring in our own beverages. But Clark County Health Dept won’t allow us to bring in our own stuff. The really cool thing we are working on is renting a bus to go to Hoover Dam & then take us to Lake Mead for a paddle wheel dinner cruise one day. And in the past, if there were any surprises, we took up a collection to cover the cost. We really don’t want to have to do that, and if there is any left over, we will save it for next reunion. We are also working on t shirts for the group as usual. So we are looking at $100 per person. We don’t think for that amount it will be able to cover the cost of the dinner cruise, which is about $60 per person.
